Whilst configuring Ford SNYC I noticed there was an "Apps" section.. Had a quick look online but could only find 4/5 official apps through the Ford Website, none of them I wanted to install..

Anyone know of any other Apps you can install? What's your experience with these?

The selection of apps is very poor, I think it might be more for the american market, I've not used any either

Do you need to download them by USB? Then plug that into the car?

You don't install the apps onto the car, you install them onto your phone as per a normal smartphone app (so from iTunes for Apple, Play store for Android).

The Ford Sync system can then connect to the app on your mobile over bluetooth and integrate with it. So you can use voice or the sync menu to play Spotify tracks etc.

Yeah, the current selection is pretty naff. Spotify and Glympse being the two I might actually use.

I tried to sync apps before but it jut said non found and I have spotify? Maybe I have to be running the app?

Nope, I'm using the free version and it works for me.

This is what I do.

1. Enable bluetooth on the phone (assuming you've already paired the phone with the car)

2. Press the Voice button on the steering wheel and say "Spotify"

3. Ford sync starts up spotify on the phone.

4. Press voice button again and issue voice commands to spotify (see commands at the bottom of the following link)
