Mk2 Preface What Are My Rear Bumper Options?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have a prefacelift Silver Mk2, I am wondering what my options are for a different rear end? I am getting an ST front bumper, but truthfully don't want to spend the money on a back bumper, so what are my alternative options? :)

I think a facelift rear bumper also fits your car. someone will confirm this soon.

I got both my ST bumpers on the cheap - both were damaged slightly but repaired by me and cost next to

nothing from forum members.

The facelift rear bumper definitely fits a pre-facelift MK2 Focus.

The only extra bits you need are the correct connectors for the facelift bumper reverse/fog lights.

They're usually available off ebay somewhere or a scrappy if you're lucky.

I'd go for the s bumper on the back looks so much better than the St

Yeah, was definitely pushed towards the facelift zetec s bumper, with the valance done gloss black, so it is a straight fit other than the fog connections?

Yer straight fit if your lucky you might get one with lights and connectors from a breaker all you need to watch if you decide to change the rear bumper is the ten mill nut on the holder inside the arch liner tends to rust give it a good dous of plus gas or wd but that's the only bug you will get in swopping one over .all going well takes about half hour to do

The back bumper was off last month while it was in the body shop, so I'll assume that nut is free haha :) And I'm quite handy with wiring, I'm sure I'll sort something out there, cheers guys

The cc bumpers also fit and are usually cheaper than the st the cc front bumper is better looking to be honest

Hi Sal, these dont work as think the pins dont make contact. I already tried these when i did my twin reverse conversion.

They do look better but are rare second hand unfortunately.

Thats a shame. I had a similar issue when i did the twin fog mod and had to cut the plug down a bit for it to fit only to realise the pin was slightly bent and not making contact.

Hi buddy did you read pm?
