Nolden Drl's And Sidelights

Featured Replies

Hi, I have bought some Nolden Daytime running lights for my 2011 Focus. I am aware that one step needs to be skipped in the UK, as to not disable the sidelights when fitting otherwise it would fail an MOT. What I was wondering was, will the DRL's dim when the sidelights are turned on or just when dipped beams are on or will it need to be rewired slightly differently?

Hi, easy one this. Just splice (for best results solder and heat-shrink) blue wire to left hand headlight live feed at headlamp (Brown/blue wire).DRL's will dim when headlights are turned on. No need to go anywhere near sidelight circuit. Hope this helps.

Thought DRLs had to be off when dipped lights are on?

Mine passed MOT wired like this.

That's great thank you, obviously didn't want to lose my sidelights. Hoping to get this done on Thursday :)
