Hiya I recently brought an 04 plate c max which had a dodgy flywheel so before I brought it I found a new clutch kit and brought it ready to fix.

That was fine until yesterday I got the gearbox out got the old flywheel out tried to put the new one on but not at all was that happening! The center hole is about 8mm smaller on the new one!!!

Iv put the reg in on all the regular parts sites n it comes up with the same kit that iv got. It's a luk dmf and rep set. Also it's a Sachs that came out and it's a different part number to the Sachs version they list on the parts sites when I enter the reg. I have tried searching for the old part number with no joy apart from a few foreign sites. Anyone else had this trouble? Or heard about this issue?

Where did you buy the flywheel from? Most motor factors will cross reference part numbers so take the number of the old part in and see what they come up with.

I got it sorted it was from an ebay company called car parts saver or car parts for less I gave them a call and told them it's their fault the listing doesn't give full info on the part and he said yes no problem I'll send you a ups address label if you arrange collection we will swap it And have it to you by Thursday! What a bonus I thought that was going to be a rite headache!

Good result. Yeah carparts4less and eurocarparts change things no problem. They have always been very helpful when they have given me the wrong parts.
