I have just had my fiesta from 1999 scraped because it went rusty. How do I make shore this doesn't happen to my Smax?

    Cars like any other mild steel item will return to their normal state eventually.

    There are a few proprietary rust proofing systems which are ideally applied at manufacture.

    I used Finnegans Waxoyl successfully in the past on classics and later modern cars and never scrapped a car.

    Wax on, wax off.....Polish the car regularly

    Keep the car clean and fix any scrape marks, worked for my 17 year old Conquest and she is still running around town with a new owner.

    This was taken 1week before I sold her :cry:

    Yes for the visible bodywork, if you're lucky rust won't come through the body panels from behind...

    But what about underneath....?

    Rot there is expensive to have fixed and is a big car killer.
