Hi Guys,

Just bought a 2001 Focus Estate TDDI and found that the CL doesnt work :/ ive checked the fuse and thats fine, when i came to check the Siemens Box i found that three wires leading to the Green connector (Yellow, 2 x B&W) have been cut...

Anyone know why these wires would have been cut and could this be my problem?

CL doesn't work at all but the boot button works if the passenger door is unlocked...

Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure on those wires I would start a the drivers door solenoid see what colour wires are going to that and check if you have any voltage going into it .cant see why any one would cut three wires to do with central locking .

There's an issue where water causes the doors to unlock either a leak from the pollen filter or in the central locking solenoid in the door its possible to get round it they just snipped the wires wiring diagrams are pointless on the mk1 most wires are never the colors they're meant to be as said you can either look at the wiring on the multi plug to the door or take the door card off sndctrace the wiring also you may have answered the question it could be the boot was random opening hence why it only works the way it does.from experience when others have faffed around with wiring I've usually ended up with a can of worms
