Losing Power & Engine Cutting Ouy

Featured Replies

I recently took my car to a garage due to going into " limp " mode, turned out to be DPF ... The garage done something to the DPF and re map etc

Last couple of weeks ( not sure if down to cold weather ) I have been losing power after 3,000 revs, the car judders and most times cuts out.

Any advice be great

Hi Matthew

first port of call would be to the garage who did the map to see if they can find the fault using a scanner - they should have checked the car for any faults before doing the remap. maybe something trivial is causing this.

Hi I had the same problem last week took my Ford C-Max 16 td in to ford in Bolton they had it for 2 days and did all the tests and told it was the DPF gone I had a new DPF fitted it was blocked and car did the same as yours got it back it runs a lot better it was not cheap but it done now
