Fraser08
Hi everyone bought my fiesta last month and ran into my first problem, thankfully it's nothing major. I saw a few drops of oil in the driveway and new it had to get checked by a local garage. I thought there was only 1 leak however i was told i had two, one was fixed for free and took them no time to fix however another was found from around the gearbox, he said it was more serious but its getting fixed on Monday, gonna cost me £80. I didn't have time to ask what may have caused it etc. So what does everyone think caused it.
troy45
At first glance that looks like problem with an o-ring or seal on the dipstick tube. Wouldn't call that a serious issue by any means, but then again the garage isn't then quoting you a couple of hundred quid to fix it. Would say it's a simple fix, worst case being if it sits below the oil level in the sump meaning you'd need to drop the oil first.
stef123
From that picture, there is no oil anywhere near the gearbox
