"no Gps" Repeated Issue

Featured Replies

Hello,

My 2014 Fiesta ST's GPS stopped working in December. The local main dealer took a week to get a part to fix it and it's gone again this week. Looking on line, I don't think I'm the only one to get this problem. Is the GPS module in the aerial itself or is it the chinese-made unit in the box attached to the screen behind the mirror?

Anybody found a sure cure?

I was told the GPS sensor is behind the plastic cover which is behind the rear view mirror, the bit closest to the roof lining. If I were you I'd find a dealer that will fix it and give you a courtesy car if they need to keep the car or wait for a part. And it should be fixed under warranty, so you shouldn't expect to pay for anything.

Thanks, I thought that was it, by the unit's appearance (I got the car via Drive the Deal, so the local main dealer doesn't offer a courtesy car).

It doesn't matter where you got the car from, the warranty is with Ford, so if your local dealer is being tight you can take your business elsewhere :)

Yep! I will next time.
