Ford Audio, No Play/pause Button. Wtf??!

Featured Replies

Can anyone explain the logic behind Ford audio systems lack of a Play/Pause button?

I've had my Mk7 Fiesta for a month now and frequently find myself missing this straightforward feature!

THANKS

I agree they could have added a dedicated play/pause button just for music or radio. Maybe their thinking was that you have the "on screen button" for pause or mute depending on what is on the screen, so it does the same thing for sat nav, music etc.

The play pause button is the bottom right of the stereo, as indicated on the screen. To keep the amount of buttons to a minimum they've made the 4 buttons at the bottom multifunction, there use is on the bottom edge of the screen.

Really? I'm not sure I have that on my 2009 audio unit :(

Maybe it's different on yours, I'm trying to remember what the interface on my 09 Fiesta was like but can't remember how I used to play / pause the music.

Edit: does it look something like the pic below?

I think I used to use the on/off button as play / pause lol, can't be sure though.

I have the 2009 fiesta, no play pause button on screen, just shuffle and info. I often wish i could pause, its obviously possible to pause because it pauses when i go on a call via bluetooth
