I have a 2009 Mondeo with the Sony 6 CD DAB unit. I may be able to buy the factory fitted sat nav head unit from a 2010 Mondeo. My question is, will it fit?

With some work, yes. Same work as installing the pre-facelift touchscreen sat nav (new bezels, center console, climate control ...).

Thanks. The unit I looked at had the head unit, the facia and climate controls with it. Would anything else be required? I know I'll need to get a GPS antenna but you can get those from eBay.

One can't tell from the picture if the climate control unit (not the buttons - they are part of the satnav) is included.

It also takes a small jumper connector in the wiring to redirect the microphone input from the bluetooth box to the satnav for its inetegrated voice control. The electronic configuraton of the vehicle may require changing at the dealer to make everything behave (directions in the cluster etc.).

I believe you can "activate" the Convers+ functionality via ELMConfig. If not, I can go to my local Ford dealer, hopefully they will have a clue!!

Would the climate control unit that I currently have be usable if this one didn't come with it? Sorry for all the questions but I don't want to fork out £000's for something that's not do-able.
