Focus 1.6TDCi think I'm reaching boost limit which is cutting boost,

In 5th put foot to floor and boost hits 25psi then drops to 5psi shoots up to 25psi again then drops back to 7psi slowly building up boost like a choo choo

The focus has had the dpf removed, 2.5" back pipe and remapped,

Im thinking this problem may be overboost

Where the turbo is creating 22psi which is the boost pressure sensor limit,

The ecu is then cutting boost which causes the drop,

But when reactivated the boost reaches limit again.

Perhaps a bigger intercooler may help either to prevent Choo Choo

has it just started doing it for no reason or since any particular part fitted, do you know what the mapped boost limits are set to at all engine rpm bands

does it do it at a particular road speed./engine rpm speed

was the remap designed for less back pressure from exhaust mods?

This problem has been resolved since fitting the K&N57s induction kit

The boost doesnt drop off on full throttle in 4th and 5th :)
