Fan Activated After Short Journey

Featured Replies

The fan on my new (600 miles) C Max 1.6 TDCI came on for 2 minutes after driving 3.5 mile and parking the car and switching off engine. Is this normal ? It has never done it before and my daily commute is always only 3.5 mile.

Solved by Rocket Scientist

The fan continues for a short while after a DPF regeneration has been attempted or completed, the fan is requested by the PCM to aid cooling while the temps are high for DPF regeneration.

Hi you need to give the car more off a long run out it does not do it good I have just spent 850 pounds on a new DPF I was only doing 3 miles away
