2001 Ford Fiesta Door Issue

Hello,

New here and was hoping someone might be able to help me with a problem or point me in the right direction.

A friend of mine recently bought a second hand 2001 Fird Fiesta and has been having some issues with the door locks.

The car came with 2 keys, new cuts as far as i am aware, none of the keys will open the drivers or passenger side doors or the boot but both keys will start the car. Once you lock up the car the keys won't open it. If we disconnect the battery for a few mins and reconnect the keys will open the doors but soon after it goes back to not opening.

Has anyone come across anything like this before and any ideas what maybe the cause or a possible solution?

Any help would really be appreciated
