Most common is the heater valve failed.

Most common is the heater valve failed.

of the fiestas there is a part held on with one screw under the glove box that controls hot and cold. its a cheap part to replace or it maybe the heater valve under the bonnet by the bulk head. if you need any pics have a look on the net as there are plenty there m8

If its a Ka the heater control valve fails or defaults open most of the time which lets the heater water thru and you get hot air, although it can become stuck in the closed position esp after summer where it has been left in the cold position. The valve is NOT in the glove box or under the bonnet by the bulkhead.

The HCV is in the plenum chamber which is that grill looking thing in front of the windscreen. Need to take off the windscreen wiper arms pull off the grill and the HCV is looking at you. Time to change less than 10 minutes.

the part i was on about is a heater resistor thats located under the glove compartment on the older fiestas

i did say there is a part under glove box on fiestas and the heater control valve is near the bulk head david

perhaps they have changed the position on the hcv on the ka as you said

Hello. I've had the same problem with my ka. Gets stuck on full heat. I've had the heater valve changed twice it works well for a few days then goes again. I'm now at a loss of what to do. If it stays like this for the summer it will be unbearable as boiling. Any suggestions please.
