1.25 Zetec Petrol Engine Noise

Featured Replies

Dear all

I am hoping this is just me being silly but o am hoping you can help. I have a 64 plate 1.25 Zetec petrol which I have had from new and it has done about 3000 miles.

I noticed recently that the engine is sounding noises than it was when I got it. It seems to be making a tapping / clunky noise when idling.

I have attached some videos to try and show this.

Is this normal for this type of engine or something I need to get checked out (this is the first fiesta I have owned)

No probs mate anytime

Hi there.

I can't seem to open the video attachments you uploaded, but does it sound like this?

If so, you're not alone. I guess this is just normal for the Zetec.
