Red Callipers

Featured Replies

Decided to paint my callipers red today with some clear lacquer. Definitely worth doing they look brilliant

allways paint mine do it on all my cars think its set the car off nothing looks worse then old looking callipers

You're not wrong especially when they start going a bit rusty

Do you need much technical knowledge to do this?

Not really as long as you cover the disks etc with newspaper, I used white spirt to get any of the paint off of my discs that I couldn't help. Also as long as you don't go to mad with the paint in one place while building up the layers you'll be fine

Looks great, always thought the drums looks best in black but I'm not sure now

Depends on the alloys if you're gonna paint the drums... if you can barely see the drums go for it. I bought a car once were the previous owner had painted them and they looked horrible as the alloys on it were like 17" 5 spoke so massively on show. I'd do them black personally

Yeah I know what you mean I done mine black when I done the calipers and they look good black because they are quite sutol and don't stand out

Yup... Did my rear drums in satin black.

I did mine a matt black but then once I put the lacquer on it gave them a really nice shine

A keep puting off me painting them because no time haha or the weather up here is terrible

I managed to do them when the weather was good and managed to have a day off work. Took me about 6 months to get round to it though
