Can you buy a blank basic key with a transponder and have it cut ? Everytime i phone companys they want to do it and programme it and charge like over 110 quid, but in ford manual says you can do it your self just need the blank but they dont like to sell it

    The only part you would be able to programme would be central locking buttons.

    To programme the transponder that deactivates the immobiliser you need access to the proper software/hardware.

    Auto Locksmiths are your best bet and I'm sure you can find cheaper than £110.

    For mk4/5 fiestas its always cheaper to buy a new ecu with 2 chips than get another made.

    For the mk6/7 you have to bite the bullet and pay unfortunately
