Front Brake Problems

Featured Replies

Been having problems with the front brakes. Bit of a strange one, if i drive the car over say half an hour and apply the brakes i sometimes get vibration through the pedal and i get like a crunching noise. Also the pedal goes hard and i have to reapply the pressure. I've had new rear callipers fitted and it's had new disks and pads front and back since. And I'm still getting the same problems. I'm getting no fault lights being displayed. Any suggestions please?

Is the hub that the disks sit on sound? Were they cleaned with a wire brish prior to fitting the new disc?

Even new discs can warp really quickly!

I think so. Had the same problem prior to changing the disks and pads.

the brake pedal going hard is a sign of a master cylinder problem or the servo assis to it.

That sounds expensive? Not something i could do on a driveway.
