Hi, I have a 1.8tdci focus titanium with the oval shaped head unit but I want to rip it out for a nice square double din dvd player one. Does anyone know what bits I'll need to make this change? Thanks guys

You could go for something like this like I have:

It's an Eonon head unit from www.eonon.co.uk

Lots of people have them installed so plenty of help available in the forum :)

is it a standard double din unit (aftermarket) or another ford rectangle unit?

if its an aftermarket unit then you will need to buy an adapter kit and the fascia but if its a ford jobbie then i think its just the fascia.

i fitted a pioneer x3500dab unit inot my focus but wasnt happy with the way it sat (never fitted in the space properly and was loose even though i spent lots of hours tryin to sort this out) so took it out and got my old 6 disc DAB unit back in.

KPG

How easy was it to fit and does it fit in nicely?

How good is the sat nav?

Had a garage offer a radio plush installation for £600.

Fits very good. Maybe more of a gap on the lower edge than the top but never bothered me. The sat nav has been flawless the few times I've used it away on trips, can't fault it so far.

You could install it yourself, I did. Just remove faceplate and unscrew old head unit. Because my one is specifically for Ford there's no need for any adapters, all plugs straight in and works right away.

I highly recommend.

So guessing I need an adapter? Lol

Is this what you are trying to achieve?

That's the install in my car and my build thread has most of the info with links of the parts you require. Off the top of my head, Dynamic Sounds, Uk had the whole fitting kit with the steering controls etc for the cheapest when I bought it along with my Pioneer headunit. Email them as they were very good to me and it's free next day delivery in the Uk.

Btw, the unit you have is GM5162 or D5162?

Meanwhile, we are waiting for your comments and reviews to our products on the website and Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Eonon.Official
