Short Buzz Noise When Turning Ignition On And Off In Fiesta St With Clifford Alarm

Featured Replies

Hi!

Please could anyone advise on what might be happening with my car?!

I've got a 2005 Fiesta ST with a Clifford alarm. Yesterday when I turned the ignition the first 'click' so the dash lights came on, a fairly loud buzzing noise came from the right around the area where that little tray is under the steering wheel... also this happened when I turned the engine off. Never happened before but now it's every time I start the car and turn it off!

Not sure if this is a clifford alarm thing or something with my car... The best way to describe the noise is if you twang a ruler on the edge of a table and it vibrates really quick lol.

Any ideas?!

Cheers!!

very strange, it may have been where the immobiliser sensor was powered up that its made this strange noise.

Has the car done anything weird since?

Nope everything is just as normal apart from the buzz noise! Im just about to put it up for sale next week too so this is typical!

If they ask tell them its the sound of the alarm system enabling the immobiliser
