Can't Start After Fuel Filter Change?

1.6tdci. Changed the fuel filter. All hoses back on. Electricals reconnected. Primed the fuel filter until I'm getting good diesel out. Reconnct supply hose and it'll turn over and start but die after a second or less.

What can I do?

    Panic over. I just tried it a few more times and it caught and carried on. I didn't try to much to begin with for fear of killing the battery. As it is the stop start is turned off and I can't turn it back on. This must mean it knows the battery is a bit low. Gave it a quick blast about to after letting it idle for 10 mins. It was very lumpy to begin with As the air came though.

    Stressful job all in all but now I know how for next time around!

    good result! unfortunately you can never get rid of every air bubble, as there are some in the fuel lines as you connect, and some inevitably trapped in the filter. But as you can see, a couple of goes with a fully brimmed tank and it can be back up and running in no time.
