Lower Mk4 Escort Estate

Hi All,

Could anyone give some helpful advise on lowering my 1989 Mk4 Escort 1.8D L Estate?

I'd like to drop it by 50mm all round, I'm not looking to improve handling or spend a fortune, it's mainly for aesthetics, when I say mainly, I mean I want the look but don't want to loosen my fillings. It is standard other than 16" rims with 205/45/16 tyres. Please see attached image and have some sympathy.

Thanks in advance. post-59127-0-54815100-1431864647_thumb.j

Hi Alan, can't help you with the advice on the springs, however I do like the look of your alloys, can you give me some info on them as I'm either looking to get my current ones powder coated gloss black or get some 5 spokes like yours, experience advice appreciated.

Cheers

Steve.
