Mk4 Headunit In A Mk3??

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Could you tell me if the sony 6 cd Headunit from a 2004-2007 mk4 Mondeo will fit in my 2003 mk3 Mondeo ok?

Thanks

Dan

2004 - 2007 Mondeo is still MK3

Ah right sorry, well the newer sony 6 cd unit that's in 2004 onwards, will this replace the 6000cd unit that's in my 2003?

Thanks

No, different shape, completely different connector and vehicle network. The new radio (and Mk3.5) uses CAN bus, the predecessor does not.

So is my best bet to replace the 6000cd with an aftermarket double din?
