Interior Light With Map Light Question

Featured Replies

I have a spare interior light with map lights from my mk2.5 focus. I am wondering if it will fit. It looks the same size. And I also assume the fiesta light has two plugs? A single and a double prong?

Many Thanks

Ryan

What car are you looking to fit it to? The fiesta does indeed have a single and double contact connector

I plan on fitting it to the fiesta as I have no use for it as I have a mondeo TXS.

Many Thanks

Ryan

Fiesta mk6 I'm assuming? Have you a picture of the light from the focus?

Yep mk6 2003 and yes two pictures :)

That will fit straight into the fiesta. The mk6 have two plugs. The positive having one connector and the earth having two in an L shaped plug :) as shown on your picture

Some fiestas even came from the factory with those lights fitted. Some came with those lights and an added ambient light and alarm sensors

Excellent I thought it might.

Will install tomorrow. I want to fit a illuminated ignition ring. I think I did see a guide for the fiesta. Was easy on focus. Took half hour to do :)

Many thanks for your help.

Ryan

It's a straight swap!

An illuminated ignition ring is also very easy on the fiesta! The cables simply sit behind the a pillar cover, don't even have to remove it if you don't fancy it!

Upload some photos when you've finished? I fitted one on a friend's car but I never got to see it at night as he sold it soon after :(

Excellent. I'll get that fitted later. And I will upload some pictures when it turns up :).

Thanks for your help.

Right how do you remove the while light assembly? My focus I used a flat head and it pulled off. The fiesta has a plastic surround and both the surrounding and the light are rather solid. Would I need to remove the plastic lens cover and then pop the housing out?

Ryan

Yes you remove the clear light cover lens first, then the outer grey cover comes off second

Light housing fitted. Took about thirty seconds :). So much better now and now I won't get blinded at night when the Mrs decides she wants the light on. now she's got her own one :)
