Ford Fiesta Not Starting

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I have Got a 2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.0L Eco boost with keyless entry. When I want to go and use the car, it wont open on the main key or spare key, but will only open on the emergency access key. After I have entered the car using the emergency access key, I press the start/stop button to start the car and it wont start.

I have to open the bonnet and jump start the car, the car wouldn't start but all the electronics start flickering.

This has happened 3 times, and I have taken it back to the dealership where I originally brought it from, they cannot find any faults with car.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks

Sounds like a dead battery. a few others had this battery drain problem And they required a firmware update to solve it

I have been to my local garage and they have tested my battery on the battery tester and there is nothing wrong with the battery.

Do you think it has anything to do with electric gates interference.

Thanks

If the dealer can't find any fault with the car it either means they aren't looking hard enough or they don't know what they're doing. You can take it to any Ford dealer for warranty work, so if I were you I'd go to another dealer and see if they can fix it.

It wont be anything to do with the gates.

It wont be anything to do with the gates.

+1 & don't tell the dealer you think it could be because they'll just fob you off and say that's what's causing it :)
