Blowers Too Slow

I have a 59 plate Ford Fiesta and notice that the blowers in my car are signifcantly less powerful than my girlfriend's who has the same car! I have to have mine on number 4 on a hot day to stand any chance of cooling down which seems to be slower than my partner's number 2 setting. It sounds loud enough on each setting but doesn't feel like the air is getting through enough.

Are there any common reasons for this. I'm not great with cars but wondered if there's any easy places to look for blockages. If not, I'll take it into a garage.
