This wasnt the case it basically had no offside floor left no outer sill no inner arch left., it wouldnt start so new battery was fitted , no water in it, got it going, and kept having to put water in it,,,, head gaskets gone, !Removed! water out of the temp sender unit which bolts onto the inlet, that had snaped

in half.

did the mot after i welded it but it was a waste of time. also found the synco in the box had gone to, fuming.

so got it home and started a re-build , my original plans was weld sill mot n drive it, one thing led to another.

this car is 31 years old im not made of money, i have a two bed house to pay for and a kid so its taken 2 years so far and its not a show car..

i hope u enjoy though!

found all the water ways in the head gaskets were corroded so water couldnt pass through them hense the over heating!!

all the valve guides were worn which was the knocking noise. replaced them, the valves were re seated and new stem seals!! easy.

did some painting...

That is a great restoration mate, I wish I had the time and spare money to do something like that, great job!

Well done. I wish I had a space to do something like this... I had a go with a ST24 but ran out of patience with it, and drive way restorations don't work well
