Hi guys, I need a little advice here.

I decided to buy a new key for my Focus, since originally I only have one non flip key and one spare key even without remote buttons.

And since flip key is at least a little upgrade from original key I decided to buy one. So I got one from ebay, description said it should be OEM compatible key, however when I took it to locksmith to get it cut, he couldn't make it cut properly - the key won't go all the way into the lock on the door and also won't go fully into the ignition.

It seems like the key is too big, but when I measured it, it was the same size as the original key.

So here comes my question, I decided to give it another try and buy just the blade part of the whole flip key and get it cut once again. Something like in the following link:

The one i purchased was this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221429062975 - i sent him a picture of my old key and he cut it from the picture and also sent me the key code for future use, however i dont think he will ship outside the UK. you could contact him to see if he can get a price for you

The key worked just fine after getting it programmed. Programming can now also be done using Forscan with a 2 month trail license, which would have saved me £50

And does your key work well in the lock and does it fit properly into ignition? That's basically the problem with mine - I programmed it to lock/unlock the car, but how that helps when I can't start the car with it after? :D

yes it works just fine :) i use it as my main key now

Well...there goes that...I found one other seller which should send outside UK, so I try to contact them...hopefully it'll work with them...but other suggestions are still welcomed :)
