stevenford0022
Hi there, Just bought a 2008 titanium and notice a large sound that sounds like a fan coming from under the bonnet. I notice it when ignition is turned on it comes on straight away. I usually turn ignition off before i step out the car but I'm pretty sure it runs constantly as I drive. Is this normal?? Mariner
It is if you have the aircon switched on. The engine fan is used to cool the aircon heat exchanger as well as the radiator.

Colin1969
Air con fan won't work with ignition on , engine has to be running and AC pump on for that fan to run.

Overland
Most likely the water temperature thermostat switch has failed, this used to be a common fault caused by water getting in and corroding the contacts, now they mostly last the life of the car. I would still get it checked as I once had a wiring issue down the front.
