So I bought a new head unit from Halfords today and removed my 6000CD, Unfortunately the harness they recommended for my Model was totally wrong, Also gave me the wrong removal keys!

I Managed to get the head unit out with a little help from a friend.

Sitting with no head unit for a couple of days while I wait for my new harness.

Notice I needed a new face plate too so found this steal on e-bay

Includes the correct Keys (not that I need them), Harness and Face Plate

Head unit is semi-installed now :)

Need a new ariel adapter as the one that shipped with my harness kit on ebay is the wrong type :(

Once i get the new ariel I will install the faceplate :D

Take out headunit and readjust the bracket on either side of the headunit,

Put them further back on both sides,

This will result in the headunit coming out more when fitted,

Apart from that; Is Nice, Hi 5! :)

Thanks for the advice guys, I think its caused by the bezel, Theres some screw points for it since its a generic bezel will see what I can do and post another pic tonight. (Done this on Lunch at work haha)

Still looks about 5mm deep? Or is that just the fascia as you said?

With the mic, I have ran mine through the gap at the back of the radio alot, over the drivers footwell secured to the main loom, then up the door seal, behind the windscreen trim and it comes out and clips on behind the rear view mirror, with just the mic showing

Its just the Facia causing that the cd Slot is supposed to fit flush with the Sony Trim and I can't Find a Trim that fits the slot and doesn't leave a 2 inch gap :( I will keep looking and over time it will improve.

The best part is it brought all the functionality I wanted to my car :)
