2 Mechanics 2 Diferent Diagnosis

Featured Replies

Hi, guys need help, got my Fiesta 2006 1.4 diesel checked by mechanic and he said that Turbo will go soon because there is some oil smudges on some engine parts as you ca see in pictures. So I was very upset and let other mechanic to look in to that and he said no that's completely fine because he can see someone already had been working on it and some oil smudges can appear because silicon didn't hold well and I don't have to worry about it. So here is my pictures - please can anyone confirm any of these theories or tell me what checks I need to get done on my car.

Just looks like you've got an oil leak to me. I would start by cleaning it up and go for a drive - you should then be able to spot where it's leaking from. Perhaps a gasket or something is past it.

My 2006 1.4 Fiesta Zetec has the same problem. I don't think its a massive problem yet (It was noted at a service and the mechanic said to keep an eye on it until its next service where he will take a look at it.)
