Ford Focus Estate Rear Wiper

Hi folks,

I've posted before regarding my Focus Estate's rear wiper working by itself, regardless of whether the wiper is activated on the stalk or not.

Well as time has gone on, the wiper has now stopped working on it's own, which is great, but if activated will stop half way. A 10-15 seconds later it will finish the sweep. This continues constantly.

However, if you activate the rear washer, the wiper works as normal and doesn't stop mid sweep but continues as it should.

Fuse is intact and I've checked the connections to the motor which all seem to the in good order so I'm thinking it could be the wiper motor that needs replacing?

Hi,

You may like to view my guide here on De-Wiper of the focus boot mate

If swapping out the wiper motor or keeping it out forever, it shows how to.

Also check the engine bay fuse box to ensure water isint getting in there,

All relays are inside this box and there known to leak,

This causes items to operate such as wipers even when the car is locked up on the driveway.

If you would like to try a replacement motor we may be able to arrange somthing.
