How To Fix An Intermittent Problem?

Featured Replies

I've had my Tit for ~8 months now, its been as good as gold. The only fault seems to be an intermittent -vol steering wheel button. Thing is, if I take it to a dealer you can bet it'll work fine - "we couldn't find a problem, sir".
How do I sort this?

Incidentally, I tried v-power vs asda crud - mpg I can't tell any difference (still only 36'ish), engine wise, with v-power it seems to burn more cleanly and is more lively - with asda crud it kinda says - hey, pal, i'm not too keen on burning this crap and tends to choke.

I have the same sort of problem on my Titanium X and it's doing my head in. You push the volume up and it changes track or station. You push the volume down and the volume goes up. My car is booked in tomorrow and as you say being intermittent they will probably say they can't find anything wrong. this is why i videoed the problem so hopefully they will do something. I had previously booked this in for the same problem but cancelled the appt as it rectified itself for a period of time but has now come back with a vengeance. My previous car (non Ford) had a brand new Sony system in it and it constantly played up and i kept having to reset to factory settings which was a pain. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.

I had the controls on my wheel start acting weird and hard reseting the sync module solved the problem. I pulled the fuse, waited 10 mins and then re inserted the fuse. I haven't had any problems since.

I took the car in yesterday to my dealer and lucky enough the switch was playing up at that time so i took it straight to the workshop to show one of the mechanics. End result is that they stripped the steering wheel down and have changed the switch so here's hoping that's a permanent fix done and problem solved.
