Coil Pack Connection

Featured Replies

My 1.6 focus has an issue with the wires coming loose from the connector plug on the right hand side of the coil pack. A local garage tried to re-terminate the wires back into the plug but it has come loose again. I have ordered a new plug from a scrap yard, the plug has the wires attached so I thought about cutting the existing wires back and soldering them to the wires of the new plug. Any thoughts on this? It's either that or try fitting the wires to the new plug.

i had this issue i eventually took to a auto electrician who took apart the plug and resoldered a new wire and ect into the plug and its been fine for the past 3-4months he charged me £10, but yeah i would cut the wires back and solder the new plug so theres some slack as the reasons the wire breaks is due to there being no slack from the plug to the loom, so over time it eventually breaks
