just wondered if there is a double din stereo with detachable front, I have the Square Sony fitted at the minute but wanted to upgrade to one with a USB socket. I have looked everywhere but none seem detatchable.

Ive got a Pioneer double din with detachable face its an AVH-X8600BT

Theres also suction cup dummy headunit face plates available sticks on to the face of your touch screen,

I had one then sold it on when i realised i didn't need it,

Why not go the whole hog and go back to the old pull out head unit! The trouble with face off stereos is most people leave them under the seat so theres a good chance your window would still get smashed on the likelihood the face is in the car!

The dummy face looks a better option.

No prob,

Ideal if your listening to mostly radio stations as you can still use steering stalk controls while leaving the false front fitted,
