Foot Rest Issues

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have just changed my focus from a mk2.5 to a mk3 and find that the left foot rest gets in the way at times and I'm unable to press the clutch pedal to the floor. I don't have big feet but it's as if the pedals are tailored for small feet. Has anyone else found this problem.

Yep, the left edge of my foot hit the rest for a few weeks until I got used to it, still does occasionally

Also if you put your clutch foot to the right a little to avoid that then you stick your toes into the bottom of the steering column. definitely not designed for normal sized feet and slightly offset to the right as well

Just about got used to mine now too!

I find I need to consciously move my foot down the pedal or else i hit the firewall and don't get a full pedal press.

Very small niggle and easy to implement.

I find the footrest and pedal spacing fine even in my work boots which usually catch pedals on other cars.
