Engine Coolant/antifreeze Leak??

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Today I noticed a leak underneath my car (53 mk1) which was pink in colour so popped the bonnet and noticed that my engine coolant/anti freeze levels have dropped to the min level mark (which I know was at just under the max mark this morning) so did some investigating under the car and im no technical whizz but think I found the problem.

Please look at the photo's, am I missing something but is there a bolt missing??

I wiped off the residue liquid and dried the area around and under the area then took the car for a drive (to pick up some replacement coolant) and when I came back the area was still dry but when I left the car parked for a while liquid started to seep from where there should be a bolt??

Can some please confirm my suspicions or is there something else going on here? what is this part number for the bolt and where can I get one from?

Any help or advise would be most welcome, thanks in advance guys.
