Mk3 Focus Footwell Lights

Featured Replies

Hi All

Can anyone tell me if the red led light in the footwell can be adjusted for brightness as they are very dim.

If this question has been asked I'm sorry I have done some research but no answers I can find.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 2011 Focus Tit X and there is a round control in the roof lining close to the interior mirror, and if turned mine will alter the brightness from bright to off. I asume that yours has this. The button just to the left alters the colour of the lights, the other one turns both map lights.

I just piggy backed a cheap red led strip into the connection for the pathetic ford led. Now my footwells are mega bright

Hi Madmole, Thank you for the reply

Can you supply any pictures what you have done and where you got the LED strips from as I would like to improve mine too. The ones in my mk2.5 were ok but not in this car.

Try ebay item 131555797029

I just twisted the two wires areound the 2 legs going to the single LED and stuck them on the metal support above the footwells

Thanks madmole, I'll do that to mine they look great

The best bit is its a 5 min job, and completely reversable, just wrap the 2 LED wires around the 2 legs of the existing LED, if the LED doesn't light, then reverse them, clean the metal bar with something and stick the strip to it, done
