I've only got the 1 non gen key for my focus, it's not remote, just a plain boggo key, it does the lot though, obviously then, I'm going to need a few spare, or at least 1.

Timpsons can do one, non remote, cut and programmed, for £50, didn't think that was that bad really, so I decided to give the local Dealer a call, see what they had to say, they can do the remote key cut, for £122, then another £55 to programme it...I would like a remote key if it honest, it does make life easier, anyways, I asked them if I got a blank remote key from somewhere, will they be prepared to programme it, they said yes, but to be careful, as it may not be compatible with the car, and they won't know until the process is done, which I will still be charged for, if it doesn't work, thats fair enough...what I need to know is...what do I need to be look out for to make sure it is compatible with the car?
