Mk6 Window Regulator Help

Featured Replies

I am in the process of replacing the passenger window regulator as it has snapped but I just can´t for the life of me figure out how to remove the inner panel so I can access the regulator. I´ve attached 2 pics to further explain, I have circled where the panel is fastened from behind. I have removed all the bolts and this place is the only one I cant remove, wondering if someone could help me a bit here.

Never mind, figured it out. You have to push it to the side while pushing a plastic piece down to unhook it from behind. Works like a charm now :D. Can´t believe how the cable can rust through in such a relatively short time.

I have the exact same issue but even after looking at the pics i still cant get it off. Just purchased my first ever Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.6 TDCI on 07 plate a few days ago. Yesterday tried to put up the driver window as about to reach home and nothing happened. Trying to to take inner door panel off to look at the regulator and wiring but gave up as nightfall approached. I can do it blindfolded on a Honda Civic. I have got cardboard taped up on it at the mo for the night. While trying to take the inner door panel off i was also trying to get the switch to work with ignition on.The window switch was illuminated but pressing the switch buttons did not do anything as before. Subsequently the illumination went aswell. The window switch is now totally dead. No clicking or anything when buttons pressed and not illuminated. On the passenger door the switch illuminates and works fine. The weird part is after 2 hrs and 15 minutes i started the car to position opposite my front door and noticed the driver window switch was now illuminated. I pressed the window up button and it went up. When i pressed it down,it went down then the switch died again. I know i should have left it in the up position for the night but im a curious git. Going back to the inner driver door panel,on another site someone was suggesting taking the lock screws off and a bolt behind the door handle. Really confused. ANYONE?
