jcs95whufc
Hi all, I have had my car just about a year now it had its first service at 12,000 miles well 13,500 by the time it got booked in.... that was in April...I've now done 18,000 miles...since then! When does it need to be services again? it does say I think its due at 24,000 miles but have a feeling I am going to do that fairly soon before my next year is up..... my last year I was paying the ford service plan which paid for my service, does this carry on? or will I have to fork out £200 for a service within the next couple of months? help appreciated, not too sure how it all works. Thanks Jame s
Gezzs
Check the handbook for service intervals, but I think you are right...12,000 miles or 12 months. As for the service plan - it depends what duration you have. I'm considering the 3 year plan but there is a five year one too.
Celticfan
My 2013 Focus(like my last two Foci) the service intervals have been 12500 or a year whichever occurs first. And I don't get my car serviced at a Ford stealership. I go to a local garage who is a Ford trained technician.
jcs95whufc
Thanks Gez, I waso on the service plan a but I don't know if this was just for one year or not...Ill double check! what happens for instance lets say I started paying for the next years service but I reach 12,500 miles before i have paid up all the service plan money? Do I have to pay an upfront cost or dose it just continue to charge be monthly...wonder if you know :)
Gezzs
Sorry fella. I don't know. The plan I was looking at is paying up front for three years (three services), although looking at the Ford service cost (if paid at the time of service) it's about the same as paying up front ?!? I'll check that with the dealer when I pick up the car.Your best bet is to contact your local dealer, or checkout the Ford site: http://www.ford.co.uk/OwnerServices/VehicleServiceandRepair/ServicingyourFord/ServicingandMaintenancePlans
