Indicator Stalk Does My T*ts In

Featured Replies

On the mk1, a big !Removed! click when it's pressed down or up, is it worn or it that way it is, will one from a another model fit that won't do this

I guess not

Whats the problem lol? Stalks do tend to click? Think I'm missing something.

I know, sounds daft.....its when I press it down, it's quite hard to do plus quite a loud click, I don't mean the clicking of the light it's the click of the stalk.....probably worn....I don't use them much because of this

Ah I see. I've never driven a Mk1 so don't know tbh, doesn't sound right though. Suppose you could try one from a scrap car, should be cheap enough.

Sounds like its knackered inside and is being forced hence the loud click. Should be cheap enough to get a used replacement.

They are around £8 for used on ebay or there is a brand new one on there too - http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GENUINE-FORD-Focus-MK1-1145990-Indicator-Stalk-/161076800864?nav=SEARCH

Mine clicks kinda loudly, only noticed it today after having read this yesterday. Doesn't bother me though. Is it worth risking being in an accident because you didn't use them just because the click annoyed you?

Thanks, no point in getting second hand as it'll probably as bad or old as mine...only I'd do that is trying something local

I know what you mean, I do use them but not that often, the amount of folk here that don't is bad I guess I'm just joining in

Maybe I just always have music turned up too loud for the click to annoy me!
