Throttle Only Reaching 80%

Featured Replies

Hey all.

I have a 1.6 Mk2 (non TI-VCT) and whilst having the OBD hooked up on a drive I found that the car would only ever open the throttle 81% odd under full throttle.

First, is there any reason I shouldn't try to increase this? (E.g. as!e throttle body for 1.8 but downtuned for smaller engine)

And secondly should this be re-programmable over OBD without going for a full remap?

Cheers guys :)

Hi

I have found that full throttle is around 3/4 of the pedal travel,

This is from driving Fiesta's Ka's Focus's etc

What sort of load percentage was there when you think you had full throttle

Im sorry this doesent answer your question,

Jamie

My fiesta says 100% throttle at 100% pedal travel. Engine load percentage obviously dependant on wether static or moving, weight, ac etc :)

Which year fiestas did you notice the 3/4 pedal travel?
