Focus Spring Replacement

Featured Replies

Hi, I am in th eprocess of replacing the front spring on my focus titanium 2009, about to re-assemble but didn't notice the orientation of the top flange and I'm wondering if there is an alignment mark on the top mounting flange which should be lined up in a certain position relative to the strut/ bottom flange.

thanks in anticipation of your advice.

From what I can remember it's symmetrical so won't matter what way it goes back. You will soon find out when you look at the bolt holes in relation to the mount

Hi, Thanks for the prompt reply. I've just had a look at the suspension. there is a coloured paint mark on the flange and the part helical section underneath has a large 'protuberance' which is perhaps an alignment point. i'm usually careful in noting these things but it was bucketing down when the job was underway!

did you replace in pairs as recommended
