2015 Ford Focus St Review

Of course not :P

Your time will come soon!

Time is not moving fast enough at the moment, lol.

Good review though, and nice to see lots of decent pics. So many "professional" automotive sites have such boring photos in their review, they are like stock photos.

I like shots that give you an idea of what it is really like, I can look at the brochure for poser photos...

Very nice review! I'm afraid I was thinking 'primer' for that colour before I even read your comment. I guess it's a marmite thing. The door protectors look like they could be good...especially if you have kids that 'throw' doors open. I've not seen those advertised before.

I know what you mean regarding "professional photos". There's so many reviews I read where I just wish they had some "proper" photos of bits I want to see...

Thanks Gez :)

Yep the door protectors are a pretty cool feature for only £85.

How did you find the journey to and from Silverstone with regards the seats?

This is going to be my first car with full leather seats and while they are heated for winter, I'm a bit bothered about sweaty back syndrome in summer, lol.

Already have a reflective sunshade for the windscreen, to hopefully stop the seats getting too scalding in the sun...

It was quite a warm day and I'm not going to lie I did get a very slightly sweaty back for a little bit until the air con cooled me down but not to the point that it bothered me.

It's a shame Ford didn't offer ventilated seats too as that is always a nice feature although they would have had to go with perforated leather to achieve that.

The seats are fairly heavily bolstered and quite solid but I'm sure you're aware of that. Personally I did like them and find them comfortable but I encountered a couple of people who thought that the bolstering was too much. I think this party depends on your size/shape but also on what you are used to.

The seats do give a little with time.

First time Wifey sat in an ST she wasn't convinced of the seat comfort, now she's happy and got the seat right where she wants it.

Nah, Mrs Stoney doesn't drive so that terrible burden has to fall on me ;)

She keeps asking me to teach her, I told her that if she wants a divorce that badly She only has to ask :p

I looked at the cooling/massaging seat option on the Mondeo, but it was a pretty expensive option. I've got full leater on the new car so am hoping it's not too hot in the summer....hang on this is the UK! LOL

I haven't suffered any clammy bits yet tbh.

Seats are a bit warm if the car is sat in direct sunlight but soon goes as soon as aircon livens up.

Nice review :) I change my mind about the colour every time I see it lol looks really good in some lights and others... not so good.

Also, what's the third button next to the gear stick? I only get 2 in my ST2 :( (start/stop & traction control)

Ah yeah.. I don't have that lol

I love the seats, very comfy. Yes you can get the odd sweaty back but for the feel and comfort of the seats it's so worth it :)

Heated steering wheels are for wimps with mo blood in their veins ;)

Not imminently unfortunately, but I wouldn't rule it out in the future.

Having said that, I could easily be swayed into a MK2 RS and keeping it for many years also... B)
