Obd Device Wanted

Featured Replies

I'm looking for device that is capable to read and delete all errors in Focus 2007 tdci. What type of devices you use and what's your opinion about them ...

I like many others use my smart phone and an app called torque pro (costs a few quid) together with an obd2 Bluetooth adapter off ebay (a few quid) and this does the job perfectly.

Modified ELM and elmconfig

and both of this devices offer error erase yes ??

Modified ELM is the way to go, then you can use Elmconfig and Foreign best available for the money than any generic software.

+1 with modified ELM, you get to talk to each module in the car and youll be able to find/clear more errors

Cable: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELM327-OBD2-USB-Modified-Switch-Forscan-Elmconfig-Ford-Focus-Mondeo-Mazda-/151761960348?hash=item2355b7bd9c

ForScan software: http://forscan.org/download.html

and both of this devices offer error erase yes ??

yep, both will erase the codes

with the elm config it gives you more options but will require a laptop to connect to the car.

You can also get Forscan for £3.50 from Google Play for Android and use a Bluetooth dongle. I believe it's also available for IOS as well. Some functions you probably wouldn't want to risk over Bluetooth but reading and clearing codes would be fine.

Awesome. Thank you chaps. I appreciate your help.
What about the "professional" scanning tools with wire connection ?

ELM cable with FORScan and ELMConfig here, haven't found anything it can't do for me yet. :)

I do also have a decent handheld reader which is good for a range of cars but doesn't offer the specifics that FS or ELMC do.
