Hello I new to the focus st and I have a problem with the door ajar light on and the car will not lock anyone able to help this newbie please?

    On the Focus MK2/MK2.5 the switches are integrated into the door locks. If the light is illuminated and the doors can not be locked the lock mechanism will most likely be stuck or defective. The car should display which of the doors is causing the problem.

    This problem can often be solved by disassembly, cleaning and regreasing of the lock. If this does not solve the problem the lock needs to be changed.
