Rbnoble06's Frozen White Fiesta St2

Featured Replies

Picked up my Fiesta ST2 in May 2015 and it's safe to say I love this car! Much better than my old Renault Clio!

Thought I would start a project / build thread as I have made a few small cosmetic changes to the car. Most of my mods will be subtle cosmetic mods (for the near future anyway) that won't affect the car's performance but just make the car look a bit different . I might look at making performance changes later on.

So here we go!

First thing to do was to get the car cleaned inside and out. Machine polished and waxed outside:

Added in tailored rubber mats and boot liner.

Then I changed all the interior lighting to get rid of that nasty yellow colour. Footwells changed to Red 13 SMD LEDs and both front and rear reading lights been changed to White:

Also replaced the bulbs for the rear licence plate with White 5 SMD LEDs:

Replaced Dipped Beam & Full Beam with Philips Crystal Vision H7s and Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited H1s:

New Keyring to match the car:

That's it for now!

To Do:

  • Aluminium Footrest
  • Richbrook / Short Aerial
  • Heko Wind Deflectors

Might Do:

  • Clear Lens Rear Brake Light - not sure how clear light will look on white car? If anyone has done it and has photos it would be much appreciated!
  • De-Tango - the original orange bulbs don't really annoy me or anything, but it would probably look better. Maybe one day!
  • Dust Caps
  • Gel Badges

All suggestions are welcome!

Looking good mate, what sort of mods do you want to do?

Visual mods or performance or both?

Thanks!

I'll just be doing visual mods for the time being. I'm planning on keeping the car for a good few years though, so might start to look at performance mods a bit later on.

You have loads of choice for visual mods mate! Just depends how much you plan on spending cause it will burn a hole in your pocket.

I'm working my way towards the MR230 kit but doing it in stages to spread the cost

Also have you got a link for the leds you got for the footwell lights as mine aren't very bright compared to yours!

Yeah I know! I wasn't really planning on doing anything, but one day I came across the yellow footwell lights. I didn't think they looked good and thought I should get some red bulbs to replace them. After that I haven't been able to stop, it's pretty addictive and I've started to spot more and more things that I could change and make look better. Reading these forums and looking at everybody else's build threads doesn't help, gives you plenty of ideas!

I would love to get the MP215 upgrade someday and the MR230 kit looks amazing!

I will try and find that link for you mate, are you looking for red bulbs?

EDIT: These are the ones I got, before I realised the Fiesta doesn't need the Canbus Error Free bulbs:

These look like something similar and are a bit cheaper as they are not Canbus Error Free bulbs:

Hope that helps!

Yeah that's exactly how I started but I already started with some parts I took of my old car! Still going to get some more visual things though!

The mp215 kit is great defiantly worth the upgrade from standard make a great car even better!

Yeah I would definitely love to get it in nearish future haha. Will need to start saving! Bet you can't wait to get all the kit for the MR230 and get it installed.

No problem buddy, enjoy the bulbs! :)

Yeah mate, just having enough money saved up for it as the Mountune stuff isn't cheap!

What else have you got planned for it?

Cheers bud

Not much other than what I've listed in the OP. I don't really have a lot of time or money to spend on it right now. I'm planning to keep the car for a good few years, so I will probably get around to doing stuff more gradually. Will just see how it goes really.

Any mods that are cheap, easy and don't take too much time that you think I haven't covered, let me know haha!

You've pretty much covered it all on what you have done so far and what your going to do!

There's other stuff that isn't to badly priced but will take some time to do.

I've got a picture of the clear rear brake light fitted to my s1600 that I used to have but its performance blue with white stripes so I don't know if you'll get the idea!

You can easy post the picture here, hopefully it will give me an idea.

I'm just not sure about it without seeing it, can't really imagine it, especially on a white car.

EDIT: Actually, I have just found a couple of picutres of a White St with the clear brake light on another forum. Still not sure about it haha!

Haha, that's why I sold mine when I got my molten orange one didn't think it would look right!
