I looked at that kit till I was told they are still fog lights drls fitted or not and so illegal so gave it a miss http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/43394-using-fog-lights-as-drl/

No problems with mot. And never been stopped.

yet..... guy at work has them on his fiesta and has 3 points and a £60 fine for failing to remove tham after being stopped already as explained by the traffic officer if you buy a genuine kit from osram etc with all the correct markings and lenses they will be legal as they are they are fogs but its up to the individual an easier method is fitting an led strip to the headlight at the bottom where theres a gap between headlight and bumper and wiring via a relay

The fog lights look cool.

I was looking for a strip in the gap under the headlight as was said above. Any kits?

Thank you for sharing this. It mentions about using front fog lights as drl. My car was not fitted with fog lights and has no wiring or switch for front fog lights. I have fitted round drl's and they are wired using an auto on of kit direct to the battery ( come on when ignition on and off when lights on).

As above, If the lights are fitted as drl's and do not activate with a fog light switch then no problems.

If the fog switch is used then they are fog lights and must only be used when visibility is 'seriously reduced' as per the Construction and Use section of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989.
